Our First Mother's Day
When I got pregnant, I felt the change. I was becoming a future superhero. And after the first night of having baby at home, I KNEW this was not for the weak! In my opinion, morphing into a parent is just like becoming a superhero. It’s the Spiderman story… we aren’t born this way but we become something special after getting “bit” by parenthood.
Remember the sense of awesome responsibility you felt the first time you saw that little heart beating inside you?

Juggling is my superpower. I’m usually trying to juggle, and more importantly integrate, my love of online marketing, photography, business and parenting. Integration and collaboration are amongst my favorite things – in marriage, in life and in business.
By day I’m CEO of a site that connects accident victims to accident lawyers and health care professionals called Accidents.com. In my “spare” hours I maintain JustLikeSuperheroes, guest blog for Jersey Moms Blog and collaborate with friends on their small businesses. I am particularly passionate about supporting women-owned and minority-owned businesses. I’ve done pro-bono work for many of them, and am particularly proud of our work on our Colombian project PromisingGrowth.com.
Speaking of Colombia, I’m very proud of my heritage. I immigrated to the United States in 1979 from Medellin, Colombia. I am still deeply linked to my family there, and hope that I can teach my Lucas to love his heritage as a first generation American. Saludos a todos los paisas que andan por ahi!
